Week 1 Monday - misguided zeal

This is a tough call in practice ... zeal is often commended, too, and judging when it's misguided can be hard. Is it just a case of "fruit"? If the outcome is pain then it's "bad" zeal? I feel a bit uncomfortable with people using God Told Me, which seems to override judgement in most cases, even if the outcome isn't a stoning. Is this the same thing?
